Hi gals, I’m Jess. 

I live in a sleepy rural town in Shropshire, and I’ve recently entered my thirties (still recovering). As I edged out of my twenties, I had a bit of a realisation. Call it a mini existential crisis or a soft spiritual awakening, but it hit me, I don’t really have any hobbies. Sure, I love spending time with friends, walking my dog, and making the occasional half-hearted trip to the gym. But real hobbies? The kind you actually feel passionate about? That list felt… sparse. 

One thing I’ve always come back to, though, is reading. I love swapping book recommendations with my best friends, reading the same novel, texting reactions in real-time, deep-diving into plot twists and character drama, especially when paired with a crisp glass of wine, ideally somewhere sunny. 

I had an idea, why not create a space for like-minded women to do exactly that, but make it fun, stylish, and unapologetically boujee?

Let’s be honest: traditional book clubs have their charm, but I wanted something a little more elevated. Less church hall, more cocktail bar. Less awkward silence, more unfiltered conversation.

Whether you devour steamy romance on your Kindle, adore contemporary fiction, or secretly live for a messy love triangle, you’re in the right place. We believe that reading is a treat, not a chore. We’re here for the recs, the rants, the plot twists, and yes, the occasional thirst over fictional men. No shame, no gatekeeping. Just good books, glam nights, and great conversation.

What started as me trying to rope my best friends into a Boujee Book Club quickly turned into an even better idea. Since we love talking almost as much as we love reading, we thought… why not turn it into a podcast?

Enter: The Boujee Book Pod.

This is for the girls in their late twenties and thirties who love a flirty plotline, a strong female lead, and a book boyfriend or two. We believe a night of literary discussion pairs best with a glass of champagne, a pale rosé (or even a spicy marg, depending on the mood).

It’s a mix of book chat, honest opinions, and the inevitable tangents that happen after a glass (or two). It might be hilarious, it might be slightly chaotic, and yes, there’s every chance no one listens, but honestly, we’re doing it for us. If we get to catch up, pour a drink, and talk about the stories we’re obsessed with, that’s already a win.

It’s basically our group chat on record, containing spoilers, dramatic reactions, bold opinions, and an unhealthy obsession with book boyfriends included.
